Just returned from another visit to ‘School – Of – One’ program sites, an alternative program for Cleveland high school students exhibiting problematic learning and/or social – behavioral issues. Collected data on program operations, staff requirements, and future professional development topics. Will conduct training activities on classroom management techniques for challenging learners during 2012 – 013.
“I was fortunate enough to have Dr. Perras’ instruction in the Ecological Model during my first year of teaching (2006) in one of the largest urban high schools in CT. The elements of classroom design and positive rewards set high expectations for my students to achieve. I was able to keep my students engaged and excited about learning while managing even the most difficult learners with his strategies.”— Lea Catherman, Biology Teacher, Central High School, Bridgeport, CT
